AEA Open Badge Program
The AEA® is committed to providing you with the tools necessary to achieve your professional goals. AEA open badges are a digital representation of a person’s credentials. A credential is a qualification, achievement, quality, or aspect of a person's background, especially when used to indicate their suitability for something.
The Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA), the leading professional organization for Enterprise Architects, has partnered with Acclaim, a product of Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, to provide its members with digital versions of their credentials – AEA open badges.
AEA open badges will be issued for certifications, for skills, for contributions to Enterprise Architecture (such as writing an article, speaking at a conference, organizing an event, being a chapter officer), for participation in relevant activities and so on. Our goal is to ensure that members who collect AEA open badges are able to show a more complete picture of themselves to potential employers than certification can alone.
These web-enabled badges will enable Enterprise Architecture professionals, and especially the Association’s members, to clearly and consistently promote their credentials online. These credentials will be represented with a digital image which contains verified metadata that describes an individual’s qualifications and the process required to earn them.
AEA open badges:
AEA has issued badges at events of The Open Group in 2016. If you were an attendee, speaker, or participated in TOGAF® User Group meetings please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide first and last name, specify which badge was earned and for which of The Open Group events.
We hope you enjoy the convenience and professional recognition afforded by our new badging program.
