The Chapter also creates awareness, understanding and education for the MBA and Technologies students of premier Institutes in Delhi/India through organizing of workshops conducted by its volunteers on the subject of ‘Enterprise Architecture’.
Recently a 14-hours course was designed and introduced at the IIT Delhi. For this, five of the AEA Delhi Chapter member’s contributed time to prepare a compact EA course material with Industry focus and case studies. This endeavor was well executed, and good feedback was received from the MBA students/participants.
EA Course objectives:
Define Enterprise Architecture (EA) and articulate its business case.
Articulate how Enterprise Architecture integrates strategic, business, and technology planning to support enterprise development
Evaluate Enterprise Architecture tools with respect to best practices and assess suitability for varying applications.
Demonstrate how Enterprise Architecture integrates strategic goals and business processes with supporting technology architectures to enable business objectives.
Crystallize how Enterprise Architecture links with other governance processes, including capital planning, human resource management and security policies.
Be able to articulate the future direction of EA and the issues faced.

Dr. Pallab Saha ,NeGD Subject Matter Expert in Enterprise Architecture and President, Association of Enterprise Architects (India). He is an advisor to the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India, a co-author of the India Enterprise Architecture (IndEA) Framework, and has played a critical role in making it into a national standard.
pen Group along with ,Management Development Institute-Gurgaon, one of India’s premier B-School hosted a first-of-its-kind conference in India on Enterprise Architecture on 24th and 25th May 2019. The conference, titled “Enterprise Architecture in the Digital Era Trends, Opportunities and Challenges”, provided a platform for discussion on enterprise architecture models, best practices and case studies.
As a torch bearer, MDI Gurgaon had took the lead in this particular digital space and was the first to organize a conference on such a niche theme as Enterprise Architecture in India. The conference was graced by the presence of Dr. Emandi Sankara Rao, Chairman, Board of Governors, MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Pallab Saha, Chief Architect, The Open Group and Prof. (Dr.) Atman and, Director (Additional Charge), MDI Gurgaon. It was attended by several members of the academia and the industry.
The conference featured plenaries, theme-based presentations, interactive panel discussions, deep-dive tutorials and networking opportunities. It also presented key note sessions on the Enterprise Architecture theme from MDI Gurgaon and The Open Group. It covered Next generation Security operations Center for Enterprises by Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC).
Conference was co chaired by Dr Pallab Saha, Chief Architect, The Open Group & President, Association of Enterprise Architects (India) and AEA India Chapter Mr. Tarun Gupta, Chief Technology Officer – Head of Enterprise Architects L&T InfoTech, Mr. Indranil Bhowmik, Enterprise Architect, TCS were in Advisory committee.
