To align its audit engagements with the Department’s mandate, business priorities and associated risks, ESDC’s internal audit team has implemented a ‘Business Architecture Driven Risk Based Audit Plan’. This business architecture approach allows for vertical, horizontal and matrix views of the department that is resilient to change; and allows for strategically-focused, evidence-based, value-driven assurance and advisory work. TOGAF 9.1 is used as the basis for the architecture aspect.
