The AEA SoCal Chapter cordially invites you to attend our “Future of EA” Mini-Conference on Friday, January 12th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM PST. The event will be hosted by National University located at 3678 Aero Court, San Diego, CA 92123. We prefer that you attend in person, but a WebEx will be available for remote participants. We have an exciting agenda, including two keynote presentations: one by Mary Tolbert from The MITRE Corporation, and another by Frank Alvidrez.
PRESENTATIONS
Mary’s presentation will focus on Digital Engineering in the context of EA. Digital Engineering is integrated digital approach that uses authoritative sources of systems' data and models as a continuum across disciplines to support lifecycle activities from concept through disposal. Digital engineering will involve adopting an integrated model-based engineering approach through the use of digital environments, processes, methods, tools, and digital artifacts to support the planning, design, validation, operation, and sustainment of a system. A digital engineering ecosystem will link data sources and models across stakeholders throughout the lifecycle. It will provide the authoritative source of truth.
Frank’s presentation will address the cyber security aspects of using Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools for cyber resilient design and testing. Frank has been using the SysML to create a model of an unmanned system to highlight some of the cybersecurity aspects. Frank originally created his model in a compliant DoDAF v 2.02 for
