AEA Ottawa-Gatineau is pleased to present this seminar on IT Security

Registration is requested here.

According to the Verizon Data Breach Investigation Report (DBIR), more than 99% of breaches exploited vulnerabilities that are more than a year old. While there is a lot of focus in the cyber security space on stopping ‘zero day’ attacks and the latest technology built on advanced algorithms, this DBIR suggests there are some basic things we can do to better position ourselves for success when it comes to cyber security. We refer to this as Security Hygiene – have complete visibility and control of your endpoints in real time.

This session will focus on how to establish good security hygiene practices and being proactive to threats with fast remediation. Having access to real time data of your endpoint ensures you are making decisions with the right data. Effective Security Architectures have to not only focus on preventing compromise, they have to accommodate security hygiene to catch breaches that have avoided the controls.
